IO daughter card for a DSK6713 evaluation board to a host PC over a native high speed USB link (2010). Built a daughter board to create a high speed USB 2.0 link between the PC and the evaluation board to offload DSP intensive calculations to the development board and to use the data acquisition capabilities of the development board to capture and send data to the PC. All of these were done using LabView and DSPBIOS.
Interfaced Garmin USB GPS receiver in LabView (2009) Developed a dll library to read GPS data from a Garmin USB GPS Receiver and a LabView Wrapper around the DLL to bring in and display structured GPS Data into LabView in a beautiful VI.
Findmaan Developed a Web Crawler and indexing system based on PHP & MySQL with context based advertising for web pages, documents and music. (2002)
Dynamic DNS Update System (2012, 2013) Developed a dynamic DNS update system using Apache, PHP, named and bash scripts to periodically update IP addresses of hosts. Also implemented a memory based file system to minimize disk IO per update with write to disk fallback and a salted cryptographic scheme to prevent unauthorized updates and replay attacks.
RAW to Bitmap Batch Convertor (2014) Developed a multithreaded Camera RAW to bitmap converter using libRAW library and extract EXIF in a separate CSV file.
Web Based Genealogy System (2013) Developed a web based genealogy system enforcing data integrity and formal tree structure.
Home Automation System (2015) Built a home automation system to control appliances using a Raspberry Pi and a relay module. The control UI was built using HTML5 and web sockets. Web socket server was created using ws4py and CherryPy. This lets multiple users operate the UI simultaneously without compromising the UI state.
Design & Verification of a RISC & CISC Microprocessor (2008) A simple microprocessor (Register, ALU, Instruction Decoder etc.) based on a RISC & CISC architecture were created and their functionalities verified.
AVR Development Board (2006) Designed a development board for an ATmega series microcontroller with various peripherals required for general purpose development. This development board won the first prize at the Technofora 2008 –Competitive events sponsored by the Nirma University.
8051 Development boards and training modules (2008) Designed and built several training modules to replace the obsolete and non-functional microcontroller training kits in the college Laboratory.
VGA to Composite Video converter (2008) Built a VGA to Composite Video converter to connect an old television set to a computer.
AVR based monophonic synthesizer (2007) Built a frequency modulated single tone generator using my AVR development board to play music.
EEPROM Writer (2006) Built an EEPROM Writer using discrete ICs
